Vintage designer furniture in Paris: authentication, selection, delivery
LAPIERRE MARKET gathers a Paris-based selection of authenticated vintage designer furniture. The catalogue covers the major XXth century names: USM Haller modular system by Fritz Haller since 1965, Ligne Roset with the Togo sofa by Michel Ducaroy 1973, Cassina I Maestri Le Corbusier-Perriand-Jeanneret edition, Knoll Florence Knoll and Mies van der Rohe (Barcelona Chair, Knoll edition 1948), Vitra with the Panton Chair by Verner Panton, Flos Achille Castiglioni lighting, Martinelli Luce and the Pipistrello by Gae Aulenti 1965. Each piece is sourced in France and Europe, verified through our authentication protocol, photographed without retouching, then delivered across France and Europe. USM Haller services: assembly, reconfiguration, restoration, appraisal
Fritz Haller's modular system comes apart and goes back together indefinitely, provided its logic is respected. We offer four dedicated services: assembly and disassembly on site or to plan, including relocation as marked-up modules and replacement of connector balls; reconfiguration for a unit that must change length, height, room or purpose, the system's dimensions having not moved since 1963; restoration of pitted chrome, marked lacquered steel and doors that no longer close true, on a principle of conservation rather than a factory finish; and appraisal before buying, selling or committing to work, because the USM is Europe's most copied modular system and the commonest case is not the copy but the hybrid assembly. Buying design furniture anywhere in France: private owners and professionals
We buy and take on consignment throughout France, with a valuation from photographs within 24 to 48 hours and collection arranged by us. Two routes depending on your situation: selling as a private owner — a move, an estate, a collection being rebalanced — and professional disposals — an office fleet at end of cycle, a dealer lot, a notarial estate, an end of lease. Twelve cities have a dedicated page with local context and logistics: Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Nice, Le Havre, Grenoble, Nancy and Saint-Étienne. The buying scope sets out brand by brand what we take and what we do not.
Authentication, restoration and second-life program
Authenticating a signed vintage piece requires method and experience. We systematically document origin, verify editor markings, identify period materials and cross-reference specialist references (archive catalogues, reference books, foundations). For pieces that justify it, we offer full reconditioning: dismantling, rechroming of spheres, epoxy relacquering to original USM Haller RAL codes, recover or pigmentary retouch for Ligne Roset, Cassina or B&B Italia leather sofas. Our leather workshop treats holes, tears, fading and accentuated patina, and recommends suitable products: Sappo Saphir, Saphir Médaille d'Or, Renapur. Read our Togo care guide and our circular economy approach.
Designers and editors: profiles and iconic pieces
The LAPIERRE MARKET journal documents the designers and editors behind the pieces we source. Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999), French architect and designer, her ten reference pieces including the Nuage bookcase, the Berger stool and the Tokyo chair. Pierre Paulin (1927-2009), seating sculptor for Artifort and Steiner. Michel Ducaroy, creator of the Togo Ligne Roset 1973. Gae Aulenti, Italian architect, Pipistrello lamp for Martinelli Luce 1965. Eero Saarinen and the Tulip collection for Knoll. Harry Bertoia and the Diamond Chair Knoll 1952. Joe Colombo, Italian futurist 1960-1970. Vico Magistretti, Eclisse lamp for Artemide 1965. See also our 15 Italian designers of the 70s. Editors: USM Modular Furniture, Ligne Roset, Fritz Hansen, Herman Miller.
